Welcome to Year 1! 

Welcome to Year 1! In our classroom, alongside myself (Miss Elmore), we have the lovely Ms Anderson.

The transition between Reception and Year 1 is an opportunity for the children to show amazing progress. We move into curriculum-based learning and routines through continuous provision. As well as learning key academic skills, the children will continue their journey in developing both socially and emotionally.

Exploration is a key part of Year 1, both within the indoor and outdoor environment. We will be looking at elements of this within all topics, as a stimulus to expand our knowledge and imagination.
